The Rockland House was established in 1865 as a hotel for summer guests.  Vacationers came from miles around with their steamer trunks for relaxing sojourn, taking in the fresh mountain air and eating the bounty of fresh vegetables from the Rockland House's own garden.

Visitors come to the Rockland House today for the same reasons they have come for over a century.
Guests are offered the relaxed, friendly atmosphere for which the Rockland House has become famous.  The fresh mountain air beckons those interested in fishing in the famous Beaverkill Trout Stream, or just taking a walk in the surrounding countryside.  The Rockland House features Twenty-three comfortable modern rooms.  Each room has its own private bath and shower, and is equipped with television and telephone.

At the Rockland House's tastefully renovated American Cuisine restaurant we offer our full menu specializing in mouth watering Prime Rib, Beaverkill Brook Trout and the famous Rockland House salad bar.  Chops, steaks and seafood are among the other tempting offerings.

The Rockland House is the ideal spot for enjoying any season.  Spring and summer offer swimming and fishing in the clear Beaverkill River, which flows through the Rockland House property.  Fall extends breathtaking foliage that invites exploration of the natural paths and historic covered bridges that abound in the area.  Winter presents snowmobiling and hunting to the brave and hearty.

Roscoe is just a few miles away, and offers the visitor a wonderful selection of antique shops and fine country stores.  The O.& W. Railroad Museum and Locomotive Park and the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum are short rides by car from the Rockland House.  A nine-hole golf course is within walking distance.
